Sky Academy
01
Sky approached us to create an immersive experience to inspire and educate schoolchildren through the medium of broadcast technology.
In response we created interactive digital environments in three locations, providing students with the opportunity to experience first-hand what it’s like to work in a news broadcasting studio and giving them the confidence to tell their own stories
The Sky Academy offers children the chance to work with its cutting-edge technology, including broadcast-quality cameras, green screens and touch screen tables. Visitors write, shoot and edit their Fact, Fiction or Future video.
In 2019, 163,000 children have experienced Sky Academy Studios in the UK and Italy, hosting a total of 2039 individual sessions.
"The students came away with an amazing feeling of satisfaction, of achievement, of fulfilment. It opened our kids’ eyes to the wealth of different careers out there. It really raised their aspirations. Now when they watch TV, they know they could be part of that world."
