Brief
For the second year running, Engage was commissioned to create the Edge of Government pavilion for the Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation at the World Government Summit 2017, which took place in Dubai, UAE from the 12-14th of February.
Engage was briefed to create a world-class, immersive exhibition to showcase some of the most innovative initiatives happening today from 13 countries, aimed at improving society. The 2017 event followed the legacy of the 2016 event where over 4,000 guests attended from over 130 countries.
02
Strategy
Engage delivered the project from end-to-end, creating the concept, design and live event using digital, physical and interactive elements to tell the stories of the 13 exhibits that made up the Edge. The space encouraged visitors to explore open questions that policymakers need to consider to be able to successfully navigate and break new grounds.

Result
Highlights included a chatbot lawyer, an interactive projection which reacted to visitors’ movements as they walked down a corridor to enter the space, an American-style porch where the visitor would ring the bell and curtains would move to reveal the inside of a home from the 30s in a 3D representation and projection mapping of a blockchain project explaining how blockchain of energy works.
